After suspending two trans-Pacific routes for nearly half a year, THE Alliance recently decided to resume these two routes.
Specifically, on April 15 this year, THE Alliance will resume the Asia-US East Coast EC4/SUEZ1 route that was canceled due to the off-season in November last year. The new port of call sequence is: Kaohsiung-Xiamen-Yantian-Gamei-Singapore-Novotel Gram - Savannah - Charleston - New York - Singapore - Kaohsiung.
It is worth noting that Hong Kong will no longer be a stopover, and both eastbound and westbound routes will pass through the Cape of Good Hope instead of the Suez Canal.
The new route will deploy 13 container ships with a capacity of 13,000 to 14,000TEU. These ships will be from Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Yang Ming. The maiden voyage will be carried out by the 14,080TEU “YM Warmth” ship.
In addition, on April 19 this year, THE Alliance will resume the US-Western route PN3, which was canceled in October last year.
THE Alliance said that compared with before, the PN3 route has added new calls to Hong Kong and Haiphong. The new port of call sequence is: Hong Kong-Haiphong-Yantian-Shanghai-Busan-Vancouver-Tacoma-Busan-Kaohsiung, and added Hong Kong and Haiphong. Two docking points in Haiphong.
The new PN3 route will deploy eight ships, operated by HMM and Yang Ming Shipping. The first voyage will be carried out by the "HMM Aquamarine" with a capacity of 13,788TEU.
